Under His Wings

Psalm 91- He shall cover thee with His feathers and under His wings shalt thou trust.

I just wanted to share a little thing that happened to me yesterday. It may seem incidental, but it ment a lot to me. Do you ever get those moments when you just need to be reminded that God loves you? Well yesterday I had one of those moments. I was feeling a bit upset and confused about myself, God, life, things. When church was over, I was planning a rapid exit (selfish me) when someone turned to me and said, "God gave me a word for you, He loves it when you pray to Him." I walked home very slowly that night. I was just so amazed and touched. As I walked there was this Beautiful sunset, and the air felt so fresh, and leaves and flowers seemed to jump out at me. It was like God put it all there for me. I could almost feel Him. Father knew I just kneeded to know He adores me, and He especially came to spend some time with me, just to show me - that.
If you ever start to doubt how precious you are to Him, I just want to say you are EVERYTHING to Him. He tenderly adores you. Nothing Nothing Nothing could possibly make Him adore you even the tiniest fraction less than He does. He's tickles pink when you spend time just to love with Him, to hear you talking to Him. He cares so much about everything you feel. You are ssssssssssoooooooooo precious and absolutely sparklingly beautiful to Him.

Creation Character

This is just a little thought I found interesting. On the internet now and then you come across these personality tests. ' What are the strengths and weeknesses of your character? What cute animal are you? What Lord of the Rings Character are you most like?' Well, it struck me one day while we were away that nature makes an excellent peronality test. At the time I was thinking about the beach. It's funny what you can learn about yourself from what you like in rock pools, how you feel when you are swimming, look back, and suddenly the shore seems far off, how you feel when someone dares you to swim past a some large boulders with the tide coming in at an alarming rate, what you do when there's a hill or rocks or mini peninsular and you don't know what's on the other side, what shells take you're fancy, how many batterings you can take in the waves, how you feel gazing past the restless craching oceans seemingly endless to the sunset beyond. I think God has a special way of speaking to us through His creation. I remember having a conversation with David about how you can get the feeling for a person and his personality by his writing or works of art. God's creation is amazingly like that. When I see an 'Oupa' sunset I think of and 'feel' His beauty and sweet presence, when I feel the power of crashing waves and see the endless oceans I think of His might, awsomness, kingliness, holiness, when I see a flower I think of His care and gentleness, when I see tumbling baby animals, dancing albatrosses, playing otters, I think of God's humour, fun, when I see forests I think of His peace and control. God's beatiful creation is dripping with His beautiful character. How it makes us love Him the more!

mini poems

One of the things I like about tidying up cupboards is finding all those interesting old papers- my early essays, old letters, information I'd lost two years ago etc etc. Also little poems or a couple of verses from poems that never turn into much. Even though they're badly written It still gives me a thrill to a spot of poetry I'd forgotten I'd written. Here's two examples:

1 I have just one day to explore today
Just one day exactly this way.
Each day I see more of you
Tomorrow will be something new.
Today I saw a new rise of the sun
You're compassions are fresh with every one.
My joy in you will never grow stale
Each day You pull a little more vale.

2 As I lay in bed inside me built
The rising feeling of my guilt.
As I said, "I suppose
I should practice my arpegios.
The job it seemed like a whale,
To practice every single scale.
And it didn't give me more release,
Thinking of my hardest piece.
But still its worth it in the end.
For music is a dear friend.
(about a not so good Saturday morning)

When they're not finished yet, that's even better. I get out my pen, and promptly forget everything till it looks right. Good Fun! Here's the problem. Yesterday while I was tidying I found this tiny bit of poetry, it was cute but unfinished. For the life of me I just couldn't think of the last two lines. (you can imagine the result it had on my tidying!) I suddenly had an idea. Maybe somebody else could suggest something! If something pops into your head, prehaps you could write it on a comment. Here it is. (don't laugh I know its only tiny, but its agravaiting.)

Beautiful His love to me
Far beyond compare.
Diamonds on a glistening sea,
Fragrance in the air.

Whispers through te gentle breeze
Singing in the sun,

Even More Wings!

I Bore you on

Eagle's wings

and brought

you to myself.

To Fight With Him

Angels work
When we pray.
Spirit moves,
When we say
A little thought
A little prayer
It's a fact
He's Always there.

Prayer your sword
Faith your shield.
You will learn
How to yield
The Spirit's tools
A great resource.
Only fools
Ignore its force.

Intercede
Pray and sing.
You will make
Heavens ring
The spirit realm
Though you cant see
Moving now-
His child's plea

For the saints,
Gospels sake,
Do not fear
Let Him take
Your hands in His
Together fight
Mountains move,
By His might.

We will ride
Here with you
We will fight
For what's true
We do not seek
For wealth or fame
Only go
In YAHWEH's name
