With creation

I feel the wind on my back with energy so strong, I could lean on it. Then it whispers and whistles so creative and new, I could talk to it. While the birds join in with chirrups and songs, my heart sings with it. And around me twirls shimmering petals and leaves I long to dance with it. I run with the stream laughing and gurgling over rocks, laughing with it. My Creator, _ I think of the little I'm told of a life that you hold, and there must be more to it.

Garden Reflections

I glance up at the sky – Your beauty is there. The clouds show the work of your hands. In the cool breeze whispers your love and the blossoms your sweetest touch. In response to the joy of a beautiful morn peeps the sun with a playful smile. And with its caress lights the diamonds at rest, surrounding the earth with her jewels.
Lordly trees stand tall and strong, cradling birds in their gentle arms. And bees prancing on perfumed petals dance in the light of your smile. I lay nestled in rugs of softest grass as nature sings to me its sweetest song. Whispering, winking, reaching, loving - shines beauty on every side.
In nature’s arms, I cry from my heart, “I want to know this beautiful God.”

Incredible Holiness

We can’t understand God’s holiness until we see Him. But every creature and the whole universe really is part of Him. God’s amazing knowledge and wisdom is the heartbeat of the universe. It breaths Him, lives Him, and shines Him. “IN him and through Him and to Him are all things.” The heart of and life of the universe, the energy of solar systems, unfathomable distance of space, radiant unceasing light of zillions of stars, the glisten in a raindrop, caress of a sunbeam, warmth of a smile, nature’s gentle symphony, the power or a waterfall, the energy of the sun, the wisdom of History. Awesome, incredible, unfathomably HUGE exquisitely beautiful, infinitesimally wise, passionately, deeply loving intensely, purely, radiantly HOLY. No creature in Heaven or earth or under the earth could stand in His presence. Holiness we cannot fathom in the minutest fraction. One day for the first time we will stand in His presence. Just IMAGINE! Like the whole universe hitting you at once, encompassed by thick blinding light, engulfed by rich, rich, PURE love. Held forever in His Heart!

My Beautiful Brother xoxo

On this day we all remember,
What we hardly could forget,
She's our everyday sister
And yet...
We love Alison!!!
There's no one quite like you,
I'll bet!

It seems a bit wierd putting a poem about myself on my blog, anyway. This is an excerpt from a poem David wrote for me on my birthday last week. I really like this verse, because I think its a good picture of family relationship. David and I have been together virtually every day of our lives. Both of us are far from perfect and we know it. We sometimes have our disagreements, and we don't think the same way on everything. David is saying, " I know you so well. You're not perfect, but you're so special. I'm familiar with everything about you. I love you soo much, and I wouldn't change you for anything in the world. And to me that means so much. I love you David with all my heart. You are totally the best brother God could possibly have given to me. You have made my growing years, my world, sparkle with happiness. I love the way you listen and give good advice. You are so much fun and so creative. You are wise and eloquent, a kind, understanding and protective big brother, as well as a swell buddy. (I'm sorry guys, I love bosting about my brother! I'll stop here, but there's so much more I could say.)

blog news

Hello there. Just a little piece of info. I've started a new little blog, simply as a pleasant little collection of quotes and little treasures I pick up around. Its surprising how often one comes across them. If you have some favourites, or pick them up like me, please tell me them and I can put them in my collection. David has given me one, and Dad two already! If you feel like a challenge see if you can guess which ones are which. If you would like to see, you can find my little blog on http://littletreasurechest.blogspot.com or in my personal profile.

I just wanted to share a little thing that happened to me yesterday. It may seem incidental, but it ment a lot to me. Do you ever get those moments when you just need to be reminded that God loves you? Well yesterday I had one of those moments. I was feeling a bit upset and confused about myself, God, life, things. When church was over, I was planning a rapid exit (selfish me) when someone turned to me and said, "God gave me a word for you, He loves it when you pray to Him." I walked home very slowly that night. I was just so amazed and touched. As I walked there was this Beautiful sunset, and the air felt so fresh, and leaves and flowers seemed to jump out at me. It was like God put it all there for me. I could almost feel Him. Father knew I just kneeded to know He adores me, and He especially came to spend some time with me, just to show me - that.
If you ever start to doubt how precious you are to Him, I just want to say you are EVERYTHING to Him. He tenderly adores you. Nothing Nothing Nothing could possibly make Him adore you even the tiniest fraction less than He does. He's tickles pink when you spend time just to love with Him, to hear you talking to Him. He cares so much about everything you feel. You are ssssssssssoooooooooo precious and absolutely sparklingly beautiful to Him.

Creation Character

This is just a little thought I found interesting. On the internet now and then you come across these personality tests. ' What are the strengths and weeknesses of your character? What cute animal are you? What Lord of the Rings Character are you most like?' Well, it struck me one day while we were away that nature makes an excellent peronality test. At the time I was thinking about the beach. It's funny what you can learn about yourself from what you like in rock pools, how you feel when you are swimming, look back, and suddenly the shore seems far off, how you feel when someone dares you to swim past a some large boulders with the tide coming in at an alarming rate, what you do when there's a hill or rocks or mini peninsular and you don't know what's on the other side, what shells take you're fancy, how many batterings you can take in the waves, how you feel gazing past the restless craching oceans seemingly endless to the sunset beyond. I think God has a special way of speaking to us through His creation. I remember having a conversation with David about how you can get the feeling for a person and his personality by his writing or works of art. God's creation is amazingly like that. When I see an 'Oupa' sunset I think of and 'feel' His beauty and sweet presence, when I feel the power of crashing waves and see the endless oceans I think of His might, awsomness, kingliness, holiness, when I see a flower I think of His care and gentleness, when I see tumbling baby animals, dancing albatrosses, playing otters, I think of God's humour, fun, when I see forests I think of His peace and control. God's beatiful creation is dripping with His beautiful character. How it makes us love Him the more!

mini poems

One of the things I like about tidying up cupboards is finding all those interesting old papers- my early essays, old letters, information I'd lost two years ago etc etc. Also little poems or a couple of verses from poems that never turn into much. Even though they're badly written It still gives me a thrill to a spot of poetry I'd forgotten I'd written. Here's two examples:

1 I have just one day to explore today
Just one day exactly this way.
Each day I see more of you
Tomorrow will be something new.
Today I saw a new rise of the sun
You're compassions are fresh with every one.
My joy in you will never grow stale
Each day You pull a little more vale.

2 As I lay in bed inside me built
The rising feeling of my guilt.
As I said, "I suppose
I should practice my arpegios.
The job it seemed like a whale,
To practice every single scale.
And it didn't give me more release,
Thinking of my hardest piece.
But still its worth it in the end.
For music is a dear friend.
(about a not so good Saturday morning)

When they're not finished yet, that's even better. I get out my pen, and promptly forget everything till it looks right. Good Fun! Here's the problem. Yesterday while I was tidying I found this tiny bit of poetry, it was cute but unfinished. For the life of me I just couldn't think of the last two lines. (you can imagine the result it had on my tidying!) I suddenly had an idea. Maybe somebody else could suggest something! If something pops into your head, prehaps you could write it on a comment. Here it is. (don't laugh I know its only tiny, but its agravaiting.)

Beautiful His love to me
Far beyond compare.
Diamonds on a glistening sea,
Fragrance in the air.

Whispers through te gentle breeze
Singing in the sun,

Even More Wings!

I Bore you on

Eagle's wings

and brought

you to myself.

To Fight With Him

Angels work
When we pray.
Spirit moves,
When we say
A little thought
A little prayer
It's a fact
He's Always there.

Prayer your sword
Faith your shield.
You will learn
How to yield
The Spirit's tools
A great resource.
Only fools
Ignore its force.

Intercede
Pray and sing.
You will make
Heavens ring
The spirit realm
Though you cant see
Moving now-
His child's plea

For the saints,
Gospels sake,
Do not fear
Let Him take
Your hands in His
Together fight
Mountains move,
By His might.

We will ride
Here with you
We will fight
For what's true
We do not seek
For wealth or fame
Only go
In YAHWEH's name

Daddy Loves You

The Father really loves you.
Yes, you're His delight.
Nobody can replace
Your beauty in His sight.

Did you know Daddy weeps,
Each tear that you cry?
Did you know He understands
How you feel and why?

Jesus lived here on your earth,
And He suffered just the same.
InHis life He felt your pain,
On the cross He took your shame.

Daddy's waiting for you, Dear.
If you will give your broken life.
Taking all your shame and fear,
He'll give you peace in all your strife.

Then He'll carry you near His heart
And never let you go.
He's so tender nd so gentle,
That is the safest place I know.

"Come here my little child,
Sit up on my knee.
With all my heart I love you.
You are all the world to me."

My Father's Wings

Welcome to my little blog. Thanks for dropping in for a visit. It's just the humble beginnings now, still on the foundations. But I hope you'll pop in now and again, watch it grow. I'll always be glad to see you.
Under His Wings- Wy did I choose that title? There's so much in that beautiful little verse, in that whole increadible chapter of Psalms. 'He shall cover you with His feathers.' Father God is so full of tenderness and gentleness. As Jesus said, "How often have I wanted to gather you as a hen gathers her chicks" God is our Father. He is more your real father than even your dad. We are so precious to Him. Father God adores us so much the Bible is full of it. In the Psalms it says, 'He is slow to anger and rich in unfailing love.' In the Psalms and Gospels it describes Him as a tender shepherd. God is love. Nothing can seperate us from the love of God. I have carved you in the palm of my hand, I can not forget you. Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called you by name you are mine. Come, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Father of orphans, defender of widows is God in His holy hill. Jesus was moved with compassion on the multidudes. For a few examples off the top of my head. So precious for me is when He whispers in those quiet moments, when I feel His gentleness there. A kiss just for me.
Under His wings . This verse is similar to verse one 'He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the almighty. Those moments are so increadible when God seems so real and speaks so clearly and shows more of Himself. I think God loves those moments too. He longs to have them with us. God longs to show Himself to us. Many people seem to think that God is just for church and quiet times. But what Psalm 91 is saying is that we can be under His wings all the time! We can live with Him not just for Him. Like the Bible says, It is no longer I that liveth but Christ that liveth in me. What a friend we do have in Jesus! I find it so beautiful to just talk to Daddy God about anything and everything. I want to stay Under His Wings all the time. Feel Him Hear Him.
The last thing I wanted to point out about this verse, is the words 'shalt thou trust.' God keeps showing me not to be afraid. Just Trust ing. When I get afraid of God, and think I must do this and that to earn His love and attention, it pushes me away from Him. He showed me that God is love, and His perfect love casts out my fear. After all what is there to fear in perfect love, gentleness, compassion? He is gradually taking out that fear that resisting, that selfness out of me so He can cuddle me, unresistent, to His beautiful heart.
From the rising of the sun unto the going down
of the same, the LORD's name is to be praised!
Psalm 113:3
